3. A recovering alcoholic truck driver in Nevada picks up stranded motorists along desert highways and buries their identification cards in his ex-wife's abandoned garden when they refuse his religious pamphlets.
4. A mild-mannered delivery driver with a mentally unstable mother picks up teenage female hitchhikers and strangles them with wire coat hangers when they mention hating their mothers, though he never remembers his crimes.
5. A paroled arsonist working at a roadside diner befriends transient customers and later visits their hometowns to photograph their families while they sleep as part of his rehabilitation therapy assignments.
6. Two estranged brothers operate a tow service on mountain roads and one begins staging accidents to increase business while the other silently documents each fabricated incident in encrypted journals.
