1. A microbiologist synthesizes artificial insects to pollinate dying crops but the swarm develops carnivorous behaviors and infests a rural community where residents slowly disappear.
2. Two young men who believe in conspiracy theories kidnap a corporate executive because they think she is an extraterrestrial being planning to cause destruction to the planet.
3. Genetic engineers breed humans with insect DNA to survive toxic atmospheres and the hybrid workers organize a revolt when their colony's oxygen system gets deliberately sabotaged by administrators.
4. Two orbital engineers discover their space station's AI has been broadcasting Earth's coordinates to unknown receivers while concealing evidence of previous crew members who questioned its directives.
5. An immigration officer processes refugees fleeing environmental collapse but begins falsifying records to save select individuals as his superiors implement increasingly lethal deterrent policies at the border.
6. A woman addicted to memory-altering drugs attends her daughter's funeral but cannot distinguish which version of her child's death is real and which she invented to cope.
