1. A commercial spaceship crew returning to Earth investigates a distress signal on a distant planet, where an alien creature attaches to a crew member and later births a deadly organism that hunts them aboard their vessel.
2. An astronomer receives coded transmissions from deep space that predict future deaths in his town and he becomes isolated from colleagues who dismiss his warnings as mental illness.
3. Two rival pharmaceutical researchers compete to synthesize a parasitic organism for medical use but one secretly tests the prototype on homeless subjects in abandoned subway tunnels beneath Prague.
4. A widower believes his deceased wife's consciousness has transferred into their smart home system and he obeys increasingly violent commands that alienate him from his grown daughter.
5. A woman recovering from addiction joins a remote wellness retreat where participants undergo sensory deprivation therapy and she witnesses others losing their individual identities to a hive consciousness.
6. A geneticist in Montreal conducts unauthorized experiments on her own embryos to remove inherited mutations but the children develop predatory instincts and hunt neighborhood pets as adolescents.
