1. A girl born with the ability to wither crops becomes her village's scapegoat during a famine and her grandmother hides her in a network of underground caves.
2. A wandering healer in a coastal province discovers her remedies accidentally poison those who wronged her and she begins documenting which grievances justify lethal herbs.
3. Two siblings inherit their uncle's estate in the marshlands but discover the property deed includes a binding contract to guard a sealed stone doorway on the grounds.
4. A winged fairy protects her forest kingdom but suffers betrayal that hardens her heart, leading her to curse a king's newborn daughter, though she later bonds with the growing child.
5. A disgraced knight accepts work as a caravan guard through desert territories where she encounters a merchant who claims to know the truth about her banishment.
6. An exiled sorcerer returns to his homeland after decades away but finds his former apprentice now rules the citadel and refuses to acknowledge their shared history.
