1. An astronaut returns from deep space to find his wife has married his holographic assistant and the three navigate an awkward custody arrangement over their sentient spaceship.
2. A teenager discovers her deceased grandfather uploaded his consciousness into her gaming console and now he mediates disputes between warring factions of sentient video game characters seeking independence from their code.
3. A colony of genetically enhanced insects builds a miniature metropolis inside an abandoned greenhouse and elects five competing leaders who each propose wildly different architectural visions for their future.
4. When Earth's greatest athlete retires after winning every Olympic event, his clones escape from a research facility and challenge humanity to prove which version deserves his fortune and fame.
5. After a hero dies fighting a monster, four different successors emerge claiming his mantle while the world mourns, but his death has also signaled to the universe that Earth is now vulnerable.
6. Five delivery robots gain self-awareness during a software update and declare themselves the supreme rulers of a lunar shopping mall while their human managers vacation on Earth for the holidays.
