1. A night-shift security guard at a maximum-security psychiatric facility discovers patients are being murdered in locked wards and all cameras mysteriously malfunction during each killing.
2. In an alternate 1985 where costumed vigilantes have been outlawed, a murdered former hero prompts an investigation that reunites his old colleagues, who uncover a conspiracy threatening all of humanity.
3. An undercover narcotics officer maintains surveillance on dealers while his own teenage daughter becomes addicted and he recognizes her voice on wiretap recordings buying from his targets.
4. A woman hired to catalog a deceased author's private papers in rural Maine realizes the manuscripts describe actual unsolved murders from the surrounding counties over three decades.
5. Three former foster siblings reunite in Detroit when their abusive guardian dies and they independently arrive to confirm he's gone but find his corpse has vanished.
6. Two border patrol agents find abandoned children in the Arizona desert and one wants to report it while the other insists they'll lose their jobs for failures.
