1. A deep-sea drilling crew off the Alaskan coast releases a parasitic organism that hijacks human hosts and transforms their bodies into tentacled predators hunting the survivors.
2. Eight arms reach from a storm drain and drag children underground in a decaying Detroit suburb where a disfigured vagrant lives in the abandoned sewer system.
3. A woman addicted to prescription painkillers witnesses her therapist committing murder during a session but the detective investigating believes she hallucinated the entire event due to withdrawal.
4. A research team studying cephalopod intelligence at a Japanese aquarium discovers their test subjects have developed collective consciousness and begin orchestrating coordinated attacks on the staff after nightfall.
5. A mutant octopus, grown to massive size after feeding on nuclear cargo from a sunken 1962 Soviet submarine during the Cuban missile crisis, attacks a modern US submarine and a passing cruise ship.
6. An ex-convict returns to his Miami neighborhood after twelve years but his brother's gang now controls the territory and views his presence as a threat to their operations.
