Six plot descriptions for Child's Play (1988). One is the real plot. Five are convincing fakes. Read them and guess which is real.

1. Two documentary filmmakers interview elderly residents about local folklore when the stories reveal that townspeople once sacrificed infants during droughts and the practice may have quietly continued.
2. Someone inherits a rural property where they discover recordings of psychological experiments conducted on neighborhood children during the 1970s and the now-adult subjects still live nearby.
3. A group of orphans in a decaying Victorian estate participate in ritualistic games orchestrated by their caretaker and the children who lose vanish into the building's hidden chambers.
4. A recovering addict attends a wilderness therapy retreat but the counselors use childhood regression techniques that awaken violent impulses the participants believed they had outgrown and suppressed completely.
5. An emotionally withdrawn woman returns to her childhood home where she realizes the innocent pretend scenarios she enacted as a girl were rehearsals for actual murders her father committed.
6. A serial killer transfers his soul into a doll before dying, and a mother buys the doll for her young son, after which the possessed doll commits murders while framing the boy.
