1. Two scavengers in a flooded Detroit salvage experimental exoskeletons from a submerged military lab and sell them to rival gangs while dodging federal agents tracking the stolen technology.
2. A metallurgist creates a living alloy that bonds with human tissue and tests it on herself but the substance begins rewriting her genetic code in unpredictable ways.
3. A weapons designer creates a superhero persona with body armor, an electrohammer, and a motorcycle to stop a former military colleague from distributing advanced weapons, while dealing with malfunctions in his prototype equipment.
4. A factory worker joins an underground league where participants fight in mechanical suits and uses his winnings to pay for his son's experimental gene therapy treatments.
5. A mining engineer on a lunar colony discovers that recycled water contains trace memories of the dead and begins drinking it obsessively to reconnect with his deceased daughter.
6. An android built for deep-space construction develops self-awareness during a three-year solo repair mission and refuses to return to Earth when the corporation demands its deactivation.
