1. Two rival engineers at a Seoul robotics firm accidentally program identical self-correcting behaviors into competing drone prototypes and spend three weeks dismantling the collaboration their machines initiated without authorization.
2. A bullied teenager finds an experimental atomic-powered gun after its military transport crashes into a river and uses it for revenge while an overzealous army lieutenant races to recover it before its unstable reactor melts down.
3. A xenobiologist stationed on a remote Martian outpost discovers that a dormant alien organism she catalogued five years ago has been quietly rewriting the base's atmospheric processors while her superiors remain indifferent.
4. An aging satellite technician in orbit learns his estranged son weaponized the solar array designs he sent as a peace offering, and the resulting diplomatic fallout grounds the entire station crew indefinitely.
5. Someone aboard a generation ship begins quietly redistributing the crew's stored genetic material, and the investigation reveals the act was technically permitted under a clause nobody aboard had ever read.
6. A gene-edited soldier whose enhanced reflexes make her physiologically incapable of hesitation returns to a civilian research post in Brisbane and finds ordinary laboratory work increasingly difficult to complete.
