1. A monastery's newest monk learns the others practice severe sleep deprivation as penance and the resulting psychosis causes him to confess sins he never actually committed to the abbot.
2. Two detectives investigate a failed secret military experiment in which five prisoners were confined in a sealed gas chamber and forcibly kept awake for thirty consecutive days.
3. A narcoleptic detective investigates a series of murders where victims are found in their beds with their eyes sewn open and discovers all of them attended the same sleep clinic.
4. An insomniac father develops a dangerous dependency on black market sedatives while his young daughter witnesses his nightly seizures and hides the evidence from visiting social workers each morning.
5. A pharmaceutical researcher testing lucid dreaming pills on herself begins experiencing vivid hallucinations of her deceased twin brother and loses the ability to distinguish waking life from dreams.
6. Three college roommates participate in a paid study on circadian rhythms but the lead scientist injects them with an experimental serum that erases their long-term memories during extended isolation.
