3. A woman recovering from alcohol dependency takes a night shift job at a radio telescope facility and begins receiving signals she interprets as messages but cannot verify with her supervisors.
4. A teenager in a small town befriends a refugee family from Eastern Europe while locals spread rumors that the newcomers are foreign agents conducting surveillance for an unnamed government.
5. A linguist who decodes an intercepted transmission believes extraterrestrial contact is imminent but her colleagues dismiss the findings as interference from a defunct satellite network operated by a private company.
6. A retired pilot writes a memoir about his military career but his publisher insists he fabricate stories about UFO encounters to increase sales and he reluctantly agrees to the deception.
