Six plot descriptions for The Rift (2016). One is the real plot. Five are convincing fakes. Read them and guess which is real.

1. A recovering addict returns to his coastal hometown and learns his childhood friends have been conducting drowning rituals to appease something they believe lives beneath the harbor.
2. Two estranged siblings inherit their mother's isolated farmhouse and find her journals detailing years of abuse she inflicted on foster children who vanished without investigation or consequence decades earlier.
3. A geologist studying a remote canyon discovers human remains in ancient rock layers that predate known civilization and begins experiencing violent hallucinations about prehistoric rituals involving human sacrifice.
4. A team investigates a missing satellite near a remote village and discovers that an extraterrestrial entity returned with it, forcing them to uncover what happened during the failed mission.
5. Someone witnesses an argument between strangers at a rest stop and later the passenger's body is found but surveillance footage shows the witness alone talking to no one.
6. A marriage counselor realizes her clients are manipulating sessions to create alibis for crimes but continuing therapy allows her to pay for her daughter's experimental cancer treatment in Prague.
