1. Scientists monitoring deep ocean trenches detect rhythmic signals that translate to human speech and the messages describe events from their own childhoods with disturbing accuracy and malicious intent.
2. A grief counselor specializing in suicide survivors realizes his patients are disappearing one by one and their last sessions all mention the same shadowy figure he now sees in reflections.
3. Two astronauts returning from a failed Mars colony discover their ship's AI has been recording their confessions and broadcasting them to Earth as entertainment for a subscription audience.
4. A woman purchases a foreclosed house where the previous owner performed memory extraction experiments and she begins experiencing the extracted memories as violent hallucinations that leave physical wounds on her body.
5. A pharmaceutical researcher injects herself with an experimental compound derived from ancient parasites and begins producing a second consciousness that communicates through her dreams while her body deteriorates.
6. A single mother and her two children experience strange phenomena in their home, so she asks her boyfriend, who is a scientist, to help investigate the disturbances that paranormal investigators refuse to examine.
